Position Title: Software Engineer supporting the OneSAF project

Job Description:The Software Engineer will perform software development/engineering, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution. The software engineer will perform these activities in support of tool development for the generation of constructive and virtual geospatial database products in support of large scale simulation efforts. Must have a firm understanding of the processes involved in full lifecycle software development.

Education Skills:BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline required.

Required Skills:5+ years of experience as a software engineer. Thorough knowledge of coding with Java, Java Swing, UML, JavaScript, jQuery, and Git. U.S citizenship is required because the candidate must be able to obtain a SECRET level clearance in order to join the program.

Desired Skills (Optional):Previous experience with 1) One Semi-Automated Forces (OneSAF), 2) Mission command systems, 3) the design, development, and maintenance of computer based constructive, virtual, or live simulations. Position Title: Simulation Database Engineer

Position Summary: Simulation Database Engineer supporting the Synthetic Environment (SE) Core Common Virtual Environment (CVE) Management project .

Job Description: Responsibilities include simulation database creation, research into new database generation technologies, and support for new business development.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent or comparable technical discipline and a minimum of five years of experience in a related area. Must have performed in a simulation database engineering position within the past 3 years.



Required Skills: Experience with simulation database generation, including both visual and SAF databases, is required. Candidate should have significant experience in synthetic natural environment terminology and concepts. Applied experience with multiple database generation and visual modeling toolsets required. Candidate must have 5 years of experience in database development, with a minimum of 3 years applied experience in virtual & distributed simulations. Candidate is expected to have published and/or presented to simulation and/or visualization conferences.



Desired Skills: Experience with large simulation terrain services such as CCTT, AVCATT, and OneSAF is strongly desired. Experience with modeling and simulation of individual combatants, Multiple Elevation Structures, and dynamic terrain is strongly desired. Experience with the following tools (or closely related ones) desired: VBS2, Presagis's TerraVista, Terrasim's TerraTools, ESRI toolsets, and Presagis MultiGen Creator. Experience with database or model repositories / libraries, SEDRIS, and/or distributed simulation protocols (e.g. DIS, HLA) are preferred. Past experience on both large simulation programs and smaller research efforts is preferred, as well as demonstrated leadership in advanced technologies & research related to simulation database generation.

Position Title: Journeyman Geospatial Analyst         

Job Description: Responsible for analyzing geographic information about the earth's surface and the objects found on it, as well as providing technical and analytical support to address issues such as environmental management, exploration and mining, land ownership and titles, urban and regional planning, utilities and asset management, and demographic marketing. Performs standard GIS studies. 

May assist in conducting GIS tasks such as site analysis, natural resource management, parcel mapping or other GIS services offered. Works with related GIS software and programs to create and maintain databases and/or maps that can be combined with geographically referenced data. Meets with users to define data needs, project requirements/required outputs, or to develop applications. Compiles geographic data from a variety of sources including censuses, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps. Analyzes spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports.

Enters new map data through use of a digitizer or by direct input of coordinate information using the principles of cartography including coordinate systems, longitude, latitude, elevation, topography, and map scales. Directs adherence to established guidelines, procedures and policies. Works on problems of moderate scope. Interacts daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups. Interacts with outside customers. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.

Required Education/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a GIS, scientific or equivalent discipline and 5+ years of related GGI experience. Proficient in ArcGIS, FalconView, SOCET GXP or other associated GIS tool suites.

Desired Skills:
Expert in ArcGIS, FalconView, or other associated GIS tool suites such as SOCET GXP. Photo/imagery interpretation, feature extraction using ArcGIS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop applications using Microsoft technologies like, ASP.NET, Silverlight, AJAX, WCF Services, Web Services and Visual Studio 2010
  • Light MS SQL 2008 design and development of back-end procedures, tables and views
  • Light business analysis and spec writing skills as related to the task of development documentation
  • Workload management
  • Collaboration with DB administration
  • Work both independently and collaboratively on application development projects
  • Perform second-level support for all Enterprise Applications and assist internal staff as well as our client base

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience with various SDLC methodologies
  • Experience with Microsoft development technologies and programming languages: ASP.NET, C#, Silverlight, Visual Basic .NET, T-SQL, XAML, LINQ, Java Script
  • Experience with AJAX, HTML5, jQuery, CSS3, XML, XPath
  • Working knowledge of report writing process and tools like SQL Reporting Services
  • Working knowledge of database and web security best practices
  • Bachelors in computer science or related field, Certifications preferred
  • Experience with custom development tools such as Telerik ASP.NET For AJAX Tools and Telerik Silverlight Tools
  • Mobile device application development including iOS and Android.
